A Letter from Dr. White

Dear Patient,

How is your smile these days?

Mine is bright and wide—because I’ve had the joy of being your family dentist, in some cases for decades. Aside from your own family, I might know your smile best! I’m writing today to share an important next chapter in our journey together.

After practicing dentistry for 54 wonderful years, I have decided to reduce my clinical hours and spend more time with my family. With that decision comes a change in ownership of Advanced Dental Concepts. But more importantly for you, I have found dentists who share my patient‐centered philosophy and clinical values—an extension of what I humbly refer to as the ‘Dr. White tradition’ of excellence in care.

As part of this transition, Advanced Dental Concepts will welcome new services and state‐of‐the‐art digital technologies that enhance your care experience—making visits faster, more pleasant, and just as high‐quality as you’ve come to expect. We’ll even be expanding our ability to work with certain dental insurance plans.

But please know: I will personally lead this transition and continue to be involved in your care. I will remain in the office to see patients and consult on treatment, though in a more limited capacity.

Equally important, the team you already know and trust will stay the same. Kim, your hygienist; Kathy and Sharon, our treatment scheduling coordinators; and Jennifer, your clinical assistant—these familiar and dedicated professionals will continue to greet you with the same warmth and excellence.

Now, the drum roll. . .

Let me introduce Dr. Dhaval Shah, the new owner of Advanced Dental Concepts. Dr. Shah is a compassionate and accomplished clinician whose philosophy of patient care aligns beautifully with mine.

He earned his U.S. dental credentials through New York University’s College of Dentistry (Advanced Standing Program) and began his early studies in India. He is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a member of the ADA, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.

Most importantly, Dr. Shah is deeply committed to building trusting, meaningful relationships with his patients—just as I always have.

I’m also excited to introduce Dr. Zainab Al-Azzawi, or as she warmly calls herself, “Dr. Z.”

Dr. Z earned her Bachelor of Dental Science in 2015 and practiced in Jordan for four years, serving a diverse population. She then completed her DMD at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and is a proud ADA member. Her clinical interests include Invisalign, implants, and restorative dentistry, and she’s passionate about public education in oral health.

Outside the office, Dr. Z enjoys traveling, fitness, and family time—experiences that enrich her connection with patients of all ages.

As I write this, I feel gratitude, excitement, and just a touch of nostalgia. I’ve been privileged not just to be your dentist, but also to share moments of life, stories, and smiles with you.

This transition has been planned carefully with your well-being at heart. If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to say hello, please reach out to me or anyone on our team.

Thank you for the trust you’ve placed in me—it’s been the honor of my life to be your dentist. I look forward to seeing you in the office and introducing you to our new doctors very soon.

Until then, keep smiling. That means the world to me!

Warmest Regards,

Dr. Sander White
