About Your Dental Health
We want you to be our partner in reaching your own 'personal best' level
of dental health. But in order to do that, you'll need to be informed.
That means you'll need to ask us some questions ahead of time. So, we've
included the following three common questions, along with our most common
responses. Of course, we'll be glad to discuss the details of how these
topics apply to your particular situation as well. But this is a great
place to start.
How Long Will It Take?
Our experience tells us that most patients want their dental treatment
to be over with as quickly as possible. Typically, this means spending
as few visits and as little time as possible undergoing treatment. And
that's exactly why we're so thorough up front: we conduct an incredibly
comprehensive exam, then involve you in formulating an appropriate treatment
plan, ensuring that each and every one of your visits will be well organized,
efficient and productive. While this careful planning may take a few visits
to complete, it will give you the freedom to complete your treatment at
a pace of your choosing.
You'll find that we're also able to add efficiency into your treatment
in that we perform all or most of your treatment right here on site, minimizing
the delays Of course, in the less common event that your treatment requires
an outside specialist, we'll make certain to refer to like minded practitioners
who share our goals and treatment philosophy.
How Much Will It Cost?
We're convinced that you have a right to know the exact cost of your
treatment, as well as the options available to you for payment. So, unless
we're dealing with an unpredictable surgery or unusual problem, we'll
routinely quote a fee up front, and make payment arrangements with you.
Plus, we'll go to bat for you with your insurance company to maximize
any benefit to which you are entitled. As you probably know, there are
a variety of employer-purchased insurance plans
some better, some
worse. And as challenging as it may be, we think you'll find that we're
pretty darn good at getting the best benefit possible from some of these
often-reluctant carriers.
Will It Hurt?
Believe it or not, in my experience, dental procedures can almost always
be performed without pain. To provide this kind of 'comfort assurance'
to all our patients, we offer just about every pain control option available:
including local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, conscious sedation, and even
general M.D. Anesthesiologist-administered anesthesia.
All told, we know how to make your dental treatment quite tolerable.
That said, however, there may still be some circumstances that are awkward
or uncomfortable for a given individual. But you'll find that we're always
on the lookout for such situations, so that we can take action to make
your visit easier and more pleasant. Just ask us about our unique, remote
control panic button, our massage cushion, our headphones,
and of course, our TLC.
